Hello Hans

This comp gives such lovely down-to-earth character in this dear lady. She looks mature in years and I bet she's a most humble and gentle lady.

Wat een oud ding, dat schaaltje Hans;-0. Prachtplaat van dit doorleefde gezicht een prima portret met een mooie dof, alleen de flits maat het een beetje vlak qua belichting. Toch een mooi plaatje.

So many beautiful details here Hans. The old eyes, the dirty nails on hands that obviously worked hard for a lifetime, the colors in her clothes... the stitches of the knitwork, even the emerald green earrings... Absolutely a beautiful portrait.

Both views are nice, Hans... but you picked the right one to post. I like the graphics here: her hat on the upper left (sort of), the upside-down "triangle" of the bowl in the lower right. And then the eyes inbetween. Nice one.
