[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Photographer.

As I wandered around HCM on the evening I arrived I found this central square where people seemed to be gathering - families, friends, couples, tourists. Apparently it's the thing to do in HCM on a Sunday evening! The streets filled with motorcycles, balloon sellers and food vendors appeared from nowhere and several professional photographers, like this old guy, wandered around looking for customers.

He and others would approach potential clients and offer to take a few snaps. I saw none of them get any business while I was there, so times may be tough for pro photographers in Ho Chi Minh!

This photographer was looking at some handyman who was dangling from a balcony fixing a loose waterpipe. Sadly he was too high for me to get a decent shot of...

Shot in RAW, converted to b/w, cropped, resized, sharpened.

A good capture - the context given by your note adds a certain wretchedness to the poor guy's expression and posture. Very good positioning in the frame, his look is 'across' the negative space, making it a very easy shot to view.
Well done

Very good capture Richard, I like expression of your subject. Good choice for B/W. TFS, regards, Josée

Very nice BW Richard of one of our own type! Nice sharpness and I like how you caught him looking back. Very natural and unposed! Super!
