At Samode Palace there was a gathering on this evening in May 1993, maybe a wedding reception, to which all the local gentry was invited.
If you look carefully, you see the outlines of four women with saris, one bright red, one pink, another blue and a fourth one green! Seated next to the women are two young men in white pyjama suit with bright red turbans.
This is a neat effect. I will upload a picture tomorrow to complement this one and to show the ladies close up.
I keep looking at this picture again and again to see why it is that the red sari blends so well with the carpet, although the carpet seems to be of a very different burgundy colour!
Picture taken from a balcony above, next to the temple of mirrors, no tripod, one flash-fill, no pp, no cropping, slight re-sizing to fit TL terms, no filters, one carpet, four saris. |
