My aim is often to establish a watercolour-look, and IMHO it's getting close.
It all started with a forgotten slide, recently rediscovered, souvenirs of thailand.
Picture taken at the well known floating market. The omni-present orchids are just as charming as the thai-people.
Scanned, cropped, then a lot of filters (tools of the trade ;-) )

hey walter... this is very very interesting and cool! the lightings, colors, contrasts,etc..all well done. i am really impressed with this. Can you please post a copy of the original photo? and i hope you can teach me..explain me briefly things u'd did using Photoshop. I hope to learn. hehe...

wonderful water colour. It really looks like a painting.

Walter, the filters look nice, but are you sure the original object was the right one for this kind of artistic representration? I mean, a couple of steps and an orchid are not normally what a painter would chose. If you post the original as workshop I will try a workshop on that with some of my paint scripts and a different crop.

I like this purely because it shows vibrant light, a bit like when you have been looking and then you close your eyes and a bright image is still there in your mind.I expect that this effect is more pronounced on the screen than as a print where it will look more like the watercolour you described.
