Some more decorations for the celebration of the
end of WWII i found in Moscow.
In the back you can see the Moscow triumphal arch on the Kutuzovsky Prospekt,
which was erected in wood in 1814 and in marble
in 1827 to a design by Osip Bove and was
relocated and reconstructed here in 1968.
yes, it was unfortunately already getting a
little bit dark and, yes, i should have cloned
out the cables in the bg, but i didn´t.

Cables and dark sky are a part of life can't always have blue skies. I love this picture it is very cool. Very intriguing. Thanks for sharing another awesome pic. Kind of want to see the decorations closer they seem interesting.

The scale of this is really quite remarkable. And I must admit that your capture of these brilliant colours under a grey sky really shows what a glow they have.

Hallo Thorsten,
Diese bildeinteilung gefaellt mir sehr gut. Schoene Praesentation des Moskauer-Triumphbogens.
Gruss..Sky
Hi Thorsten,
OK, now I can see when you was in Moscow - right before 9th of May, Victory Day. Yes, this is special holiday for Russia and as usual a lot of activities in cities go during this event, the streets and shops decorated with banners, flags, flowers and slogans, mostly with red and yellow colors... Oh.. forgot to say - the frame is perfect for the day of memory & sorrow about 27 million people perished during the Great Patriotic War in USSR.
Nice capture, very clear and colorful! Thank you for sharing.
PS: Happy New 2007 Year for you and your family!
With BEST Regards,
Arthur
