Critiques [Translate]

Hi Nara, I really love the moody and dark effect created here with the pen torch used from above to create those deep shadows. Excellent tonalities and detail on the water droplets on the top of the apple and I love how soft and dreamy everything looks around the bottom edges and corners. Good dark background in the upper two-thirds and a light surface for the apple to rest on at the bottom for everything to pop out. Excellent tonalities and good decision to have this in black and white as it creates even more mood in the shot. The black thin frame works with this to keep everything in and to tie in with the darkest tones of the shot. I am wondering if maybe should have some more negative space above the apple at the top because it seems a little too "boxed-in." That would also help with the balance, IMO. Really great idea and results, thanks for sharing!

Hi Nara

This is nice photo and very experimental with little equipment, If you see the simple light sometime give a huge effect around it. I hav try once on my photo called "Marriage" if you can see it I just used my mobile phone torch light to give an effect...

Good photo overall and have an impact.

Excellent idea and great lighting. Love the B&W version. It works here very well. The light is superb and created beautiful effect all over. Well done.

Hello Nara,
An unusual but interesting way of depicting an apple!
Photo wise an apple has two features, colour and shape, here you concentrate on the shape and that works well...
Maybe a bit too dark all over but still fine!
