This is taken in a Palaung communal longhouse. Each family lives in a small section of the longhouse.
It was quite smoky so I took some shots with a longer exposure (0.6 sec) to get the light and smoke to stand out. |

Interesting way of living. Longhouse used to exist amoungs the Cherokee first nations of North America.
The picture is self explaining as to why it is called a longhouse.

Mark... I like the long exposure results. Nice and moody as well as interesting action caught with the dusky look.
A workshop for your consideration.
Very good creative shot Mark...funny enough, you share my first name and my twin brother's first name as your last name. Odd. Good composition and experiment. This doesn't look like a f/2.8 shot though, more around a f/5, 1/10 second.

There are some ghost images here. Still the total effect is one of great capture.
