The backwaters of Kerala are bountiful, beautiful and peaceful to drift through on a small traditional boat. The waterways range in size from narrow canals to a huge river. Houses sit on the edges of the water, in the lush jungles. All of life is lived on the water, transportation by boat. I traveled by canoe, traditional house boat, and ferry. Always a treat!
