Hello Friends,
One fine day while standing on my roof i found these men chopping off and getting rid of the last remains of what used to be a beautiful banyan tree. They ultimately chopped off all the trees in our backyard. They were making way for the concrete road to come up instead of the Green Grass and Trees. You can even see the cement bags and their tools with which they chopped off the trees. The remains of the trees are also visible behind them.

I felt sad for the trees because i had spent numerous idle evenings enjoying their cool breeze and the commotion caused by the birds who inhabited these trees.

This sad phenomenon is going on all around the world.
DEFORESTATION...
All over the world Trees are being Destroyed giving way to concrete structures in the name of Development. We all are aware what drastic effects cutting of trees can result in..
Global Warming.....
Extreme Climates.......
Scarcity of Rain (Droughts).......
More Pollution (as trees are natural detoxifiers for the air)...............

Is it really worth cutting trees in the name of Development????

Let us Get rid of our negative viewpoint towards mother Nature and strive for a greener World.

Take Care

Hi Nishant,

Banyan tree, makes me think of the beauty of nature and judging from the number of hotels and resorts, it must be a beautiful tree to see.
So now you get a road in your backyard instead of a lovely tree that provides you with oxygen - too bad - and all in the name of progress.

TFS - hope next time we get a positive theme ^-^.

This is sad. All the trees cut down because of progress and development.
This does make us feel so sad and annoyed too.
Good photo for the theme

Hello Nishant,

So many of us carry the same sentiments that you reveal here. Yet, we feel so helpless to do anything! Is it time we became more proactive and lobbied our Governments? I think, yes!

A very moving photograph with your notes!
Your pov adds a feeling that they are small, and small-minded! Good details and use of the light.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Nishant,

Is sad to see this, but yes, it is happening everywhere in the world right now... feel sad for you.

Good shot and good message.

Have a great day,

Cheers,
Sweety

A big global issue you have here Nishant with deforastation. Every second acres, and acres of forest gone for the greed of human being. And needs decades or even century to bring it back

Hi Nishant, really nice composition and pov, decisive moment as both are with the hammers up in the air, the man holding the stick on the ground has twice as much possibilities of having his hand smashed! he seems to trust his friend enough to put his hand there:P

Hi Nishant

It's a shame that humans have to destroy natures beautiful creations. And put in its place, probably some concrete monstrosoty.
Great image, and rich colours, portraying a sad moment.

Have a good weekend

HI NIshant

A good image with an urgent warning. Yes I wish more people can realise how we allow nature to be destroyed. So sad.

Replacing trees with bricks - all too common unfortunately in so many areas of the world.

Your very powerful photo helps get the message across that deforestation is not an option.

Kay.

Hello Nishant!
Excellent presentation for the friday theme! Sad story! Great Warning!
TFS, Best regards, Zorica

ciao Nishant
wonderful.. excellent capture, perfect for the friday theme.
thanks
ciao Marco

Marvelous shot! Yes, I agree! You should see what they are doing to Texas! I ride motorcycles and the temperature difference is DRAMATIC, between the city and it's concrete and the open areas. At least a 10 degree difference! Wonderful post!

Powerful shot Nishant, a great angle with superb details, light, and saturation. The slight blur of the descending hammer adds a real dynamism to the photo.

A poignant note, too, friend - I would say that humanity's time on this Earth is an infection of the planet, and global warming is the fever that will burn us off. Afterwards, life will resume at a happy balance. :)

i love banyan tree.. so sad to know they just chopped it off like that to make a road.. soon they will be no more trees left..

anyway i like your perception of negative view, Nishant.. you don't have to go that far to look for it.. wonderful contribution to the theme. tfs..

regards, terry

Hi Nishant,
Not a pretty sight, but thanks for drawing our attention to 'Progress'.
Very good note too, TFS.
Pete.

Hi dear Ninshant

Good interpretation of the theme, as well as a very sad commentary on what we do to ourselves.
The capture is great, you can sense the disdain and lack of caring, and the frozen moment is very effective.
Thanks for the view,
Wilt

Hello Nishant. Brilliant top perspective capturing the two men chopping off your banyan (sorry about that!). Nice contrast and color. Thanks for sharing and best regards. Jusni

Indeed sad to see Nishant,
This is something I often get upset about.
its a shame that humans don't have respect for the environment that sustains them.
Hopefully mankind will learn in time ... who knows?
A very good shot and documentation.
(I hope you were careful and didn't 'accidentally' drop any bricks on these guys ;)
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers
Steve
