[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I am continuing my Via Ferrata series with this photo. This is taken at the starting point of the Via Ferrata climb, showing the first pin which the safety cable was securely tied onto. The up front man with his white helmet is a trainer/instructor while those with yellow helmet are the climbers. Also seen far below is Kundasang.

Here is also where I begun to feel woozy and started to mislay my smiles – I think I was turning blue for a moment :D. I can still remember how anxious and sweating I was, trying to drive the other side of me to rock the challenge. I went on anyway; knowing that I would be making a lot of shots from this point, all the way down to the end of the ferrata track. I should say, PHOTOGRAPHY helped me to fight my fear of height which has been well ‘preserved’ inside me!

Happy Shooting,
Ramdan

Ramdan,
Great composition . You took advantage of the low morning light (I guess) Colors are well captures.
Cheers,
Wellington

WOW Ramdan what a great capture of a very scenic view. The clouds in the mountains tells me how high up you really were. Great POV in this shot. The detail and color in the rocks and mountain below is very good. I like the pose of the guide. I think it's great that this photographic adventure helped with your fear of heights. Nice work.
Regards,
Kevin

When I compare this with your first posting on TL, I must say I am HUGELY impressed!
Your composition and colour management have both improved dramatically.

Fantastic PoV here -- very original.
I just love the focus on the pin -- that hugely important anchor the provides for the safety of you and your teammates against all the dangers of the climb.
This is a hands down winner, in my opinion

WOW!! How lucky you are to make a climb like this! The most I go up is 1100 ft each October! I will be able to make that climb again this year! This is a superb view, love the off center position of the man, so we can see what is beyond him! Excellent work!

hi Ramdan

Very good capture and the preparation work that goes into this shot must be the difficult part. I suppose shooting at this height will take your mind off fear and let you focus on your work.

The view below of Kundasang is simply superb.

Hi Ramdan,

I like it when you say that photography helps you fight your fears. It does the same for also. And what about this photo!! Terrific view of the world beneath your feet with that lynching pin in the FG. Superb clarity right to the far distance. A favourite for me.

TFS.

Alvin

Assalamualaikum Ramdan. I guess you are so busy shooting pictures and that's probably explain the wooziness. Even so, the composition and the exposure is flawless with the climbers balances well against the whole perspective. I was looking at images like this one thirty years ago by top climbers and now I am seeing Ramdan, Rabani and TL friends here posting the same stunning images. My sincere congratulations and really, really well done. Best regards and have a good night sleep. Jusni

Great view and thoughtful composition. The first pin is important. The PoV is excellent. The photo might have been oversharpened -- that's at least what it looks like at this end. Thanks for sharing. Karin
