[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Perhaps taking advantage of the evening light or the boat. That photographer must have watched too much 'Titanic' movie to inspire this wedding photography set at the wharf edge. Remember the slogan...'you jump, I jump?' which tears you apart?

Wedding for 2 people is always a very sacred vow of 'till death do us part'. Imagine most of us have gone through that process to wed with our loved ones. I caught this scene when I was shooting in the evening along Sarawak River. Choosing a backdrop must be the photographer's gamble of using the evening light, or wharf/boat for his creative setting. What do you think, would you agree to this location IF it is your wedding photography?

AS TEARS GO BY - Rolling Stones
It is the evening of the day
I sit and watch the children play
Smiling faces I can see
But not for me
I sit and watch
As tears go by

My riches cant buy everything
I want to hear the children sing
All I hear is the sound
Of rain falling on the ground
I sit and watch
As tears go by

It is the evening of the day
I sit and watch the children play
Doin things I used to do
They think are new
I sit and watch
As tears go by

Hi Bill.
He / She, not really looks being a Batman, Right ?
Maybe love is given you butterfies in your stomage, but no wings on your arms. haha
'Fly me to the moon', was made in the time the 'sputniks' could fly without wings.
Greetings from Jan

Hi Bill,
Honestly!...I am not so sure about this picture.. I'm also not a professional wedding photographer, but i can give you my honest words.. if one of this couple looking back at you that's much better..and you use a bit more wide aperture to get more better dof and blurry background..or you can come closer to you subject to get better effect on the background.. Please dont get me wrong i only want to share my experience and lesson in this site..Anyway you did a great job here.. and i know you have many shot of this couple and i think you have better than this..:)Is this a candid shot or what Bill?

Es una fotografía muy rara... no se entiende muy bien donde están... pero el título me gustó mucho con la idea que supongo que mostras. jeje.
Un saludo,

Mauro

Hi Bill,
Not sure I would want my wedding photos to have anything to do with wharf :) You know what, I think I would ask you to shoot mine if I ever get married again. To have my wedding resembling that of something from the Titanic is definitely not romantic. Maybe it would be ok those decade but not now when function is more than form.

As for your title, I'm sure it wouldn't be unanimous. Usually when the first person jumps, almost always the first person is also the last person to jump. And being the first/last jumper isn't exactly a bad idea anyway :) There are times, it is that bad enough to jump first. :) Just kidding Bill. Now where was I...

As for the wharf thing, if I have to shoot a wedding by it, I would probably find a day when it's dark, grey and heavy. I need that overcast to bring out the colors and detail of the wedding couple. In the late afternoon when the sun is brighter and colorful, I have better luck getting those wedding couple in rags, seriously.

Regards
Bani

Nice title Bill, makes me smile. Great candid.
