Hokkaido's history in connection with the outside world is fairly fresh, just like it's snow. In the background is the former Otaru Branch of the Nihon Yusen Company from 1906. For Hokkaido, that's old.
Inside made use of the latest technologies from Japan and what was not available was imported. A majority of items came from America, like the light bulbs. |
