[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On a cruise, we got off in Antigua and walked through one of the national parks. Here is an abandoned gun emplacement that originally protected the harbor below.
Lying there it's hard to imagine the roar of the cannon, but then again not.
Shot in RAW, converted to jpeg, nothing else done. Resized for TL and bordered.

Hello Wilt,

I do like your subtle idea for the theme ... a 'has been' sound!
Lovely off-centre composition for the main focal point and with an interestingly scenic b/g.

Maybe the contrast is a little flat.
I've done a w/s. Please tell me what you think.

the composition works very well here -- the cannon seems to have lost it's PoV and looks all the more forlorn for that.

No wonder they placed this cannon here .... it has the perfect vantage point to shot ... oh well nowadays we just shoot using our cameras :) Lovely view and wonderfully captured. Image and color quality are good too. Well composed! tfs

Hi, Wilt,
how strange - to look into your gallery and the first photo I find is Antigua. I was stationed there in the Navy for two years. This is a wonderful view. I like how you can see from the top of the mountain in the FG to those in the back with the bay in between. Very nice color and detail and the canon is in a perfect spot. Very well done!
