Great shot! Lovely colours and light. Good job on the composition, all your consentration paid off :)
The jet trail is an added bonus to the shot in my opinion. The photo would be spectacular without it.
One could argue that it is distracting and takes away the focus of the actual subject, the beautiful scenery. But I think it adds another dimension to your photo. The fact that you didn't notice when setting up the shot just goes to prove that not everything is as we see it through the view finder.
Cheers,
Jens

Hi Robert:
Excellent capture here, and perfect exposures for details all over. I see a jet wizing by too:)
Thanks for the notes.

I like your compostion and POV here Bob with the ship bow, moon, oceanscape and jet. It almost looks like a meteorite shooting across the early evening sky. Good post!
Best regards,
Rob

To me , and to Europe a normal scene, sorry she got upset.
A few weeks ago I posted a photo of the Mules in the Greek Island Santorini, when someone was agitated and told ne I should not had done that .. The Mules are suffering ..
Sure I respect people's opnions .. but what to say...

Hi Robert, indeed a big plus on the composition with the contrail even if it's by accident ! All the elements work well in your image. Congrats and thanks.

Bob,
Excellent POV here. I LOVE it! The 18 mm is almost a fish-eye lens! The inclusion of the moon and the jet contrails give this image a GREAT busy feel. Lots to look at and alot to admire. Fine work my friend,
Scott

Yes, this one is spectacular, Robert. and I like that the contrail is colored by the setting sun. Nice composition, and the contrail is parallel to the line off the bow, and plays with the "ribs" of the boat as well.
All the best,
Karen
