Hi Robert...had a quick look in your portfolio and would like to leave some words on all your photos. Someday, over time I will try to do that...I like your work. Now this photo, nice crisp detail where it counts, comp is nice, shot from a good angle as the sky made for a beautiful bg. I'm not familiar with this flower but from what I can see, looks like the petals have some awesome texture pattern, would make for some nice macro abstracts. I enjoyed your story!

Thank you for the Valentine flowers. They are great. Have a good trip and see you when you come back. I like the low point of view. As you say it takes away the background and leaves that lovely bright blue sky as nature's backdrop. Well done.

I like the saturation of the colours and the sharpness of the hibiscus. I especially like the way the shape of the cloud reflects angle of the hibiscus stamens.

Merci pour cette carte postale pour la St Valentin. Je ne pense pas avoir jamais vu un si bel hibiscus, il faut dire qu'il est dans une région au top pour lui.
Prendre la photographie de bas en haut rend encore plus honneur à ces magnifiques fleurs avec ce ciel bleu si fort.
Bon St Valentin, ici, un petit diner préparé avec amour, cela vaudra les plus cadeaux du monde. Je dis non au côté trop commercial de cette fête de l'amour

Hi Robert,

I have quite a number of images like just like this from Mexico/Dominican... lovely flowers, the floral essence of so many tropical areas! :) But these ones are in a colour I've never seen before... very beautiful. I especially like the way the petals become so transparent in that flower that's totally against the sky... looks great. Wonderful shot, tfs Robert!
