But back where ? on the Photo Holguin Aiport - Cuba

Back home like our hosts at the Paradisus Rio de Oro Resort so warmly welcomed us on our arrival on April 15th there.

But today , we are back in Canada. Time to get back to work, and start earning money for our next vacation destination ( Greece in September 2008 ).

We are back , batteries and memory fully loaded with precious images and moments. All pumped up after meeting our Cuban friends fot the sixth year in a row and meeting my German Friends Christina and Frank for the fist time down there. Weather was definitely warmer there than in Canada. Feelings where even warmer!

Easy going life for two weeks was well appreciated. In the coming weeks , I will share some souvenirs of these daily life scenes, both at the resort and in the real rural cuban country. A new travelogue will be created shortly.

I will gradually be more active on TL. As you can imagine, I will have a lot of other things to do at work , and at home too in the coming days. But I will resume posting critiques, workshops, and finally visit you guys !

In Cuba, I did visit TL for 30 minutes only. Yep, I had to visit the site, despite I have mentioned I would not (^_^). The connection was however too slow to be enjoyable. I could not really do anything in that short time.

Technically, here we did not rush out of the airplane. Obviously, we had a few more lines to wait for.... Immigration formalities , luggages, buses to be filled with all tourists before heading to our resort. So I did wait till all people cleared our ''bird'' before shooting a general view. To frame naturally our Airbus 330, I choose a small palmtree located next to the airport terminal. It was cloudy, and the area was in the shadow of a cloud.

I played with dark and light tones, filtered, resized, framed, titled . Et Voilà!

Perfectly framed picture! I like POV and sharpness as well. Looks very professional, congratulations:)

Lovely composition nice sharpness and colour. I get a feeling you used some highlight /shadows to contrast the sky detail would go a little easy the white of the plane looks a bit grey and generally overall dulling effect. Try to apply it subtly. tfs rgds Necip

Nice shot, with a bit of a palm over the plane, it looks like it was giving it some shade and protection from the rain and other weather forces.

Nice note, wish I could do some travelling and visit some TL friends.

Hi Robert,
great shot, I love how the palm leaf frames the aircraft, right away one knows this is a tropical place. Excellent POV, colors sharpness and details are great.
