Well, today I decided to jump in time a bit as otherwise , I would not post photos from Cuba before two weeks.... I do not want to disappoint my friends .

For those of you , who where wondering were we went, here is a Daily scene from Playa Esmeralda, one of the beaches of the resort.

In fact here , we are at the West end of the beach, at the Nautical center of the resort next door, the Sol Club Rio de Luna Y Mares Resort Hotel . We took numerous walks along the beach daily.

I spotted a few good places the day before, to choose for the best angle, and best subjects for the time of the day. Here at Mid afternoon, with a clear sky, I liked the bright colors of the lifejackets , kayak , pedal boats. i waited for a catamaran to come back to base to take the shot and complete the composition.

PS. I do not like to walk on the beach under the bright sun with my camera and full gear. I used a very convenient plastic bag with a zipper to carry only my ''precious'' camera. We were only in swimsuits, walking in the water most of the time to avoid burning our feet in the sand. This plastic bag did a great job, protecting my camera from waves, spray, sand and salt.

Original attached as Workshop!

Technically:
Adjusted Light and Dark tones:
Adjusted colors, levels, contrasts.
Cloned a few masts in the background....
Filtered with Neat Image
Added a thin frame and title with Photofiltre.

Cheers!
Robert

Hi Robert, I like the way different color kayaks stacked up, nice compo, including sail boat on left was a good choice..

You have captured the fantastic colors of a Caribbean beach, the water color which I didn't believe was that color until I went there, the bright accents of the kayaks and life jackets and put them into a pleasing composition for us to admire and wish we had gone there with you and Martine. The catamaran is the finishing touch. Your informative note is a plus and much appreciated.

Regards,
Lois

Hi Robert,

Ahh, Very tropical indeed. I'm almost there my friend feeling the warm sand below my feet and the sea breeze on my face. I love the POV you chose here for this shot, I think including the catamaran in the frame really works well, as it adds activity to the picture and also makes me want to hire one for myself :)

Great colour and excellent detail in this beautiful caribbean image.

Hi Robert.. what fantastic bright colours..just look at that sky..maybe you could have just got the end of the roof in..and waited for the boat to move slightly to the right.. IMO..but still so lovely... and thank you for the tip on the camera in the plastic bag.. I will do that next time..specially when its windy...that salt and sand is not good for our gear.

thanks for sharing.
Regards
Dawn.

Bon !

Hi Robert

Wonderful color, in this attractive tropical beach scene. I like the repetition of the surf skis. Grand travail!

Hi Rob,

Great POV! Amazing colours and so sharp in detail! Good idea to clone out those poles from the roof. I'm with Dawn on this one, I think you should have left the windsurfer come in a little more :)

Well seen & composed
