Further yesterday's photo we are still in the lobby. In fact, looking from that round table and turning 90 degrees to your right, you would see that!

Again it was early in the morning ( Before breakfast), so I had the sunlight against me. I still like the mood created by this bright light.

The scene represents daily life of the first indigene living on the Island in the region. Note Christopher Columbus landed very close to here when he discovered America in 1492.

Reminding us also small archeological site which is located close to the resort; Chorro de Maita is a small park located on the hills of Cerro Yaguajay on the road to Banes.

The march of time seems to have respected memories accumulated over centuries. Located near that town in Holguin province is Chorro de Maita, which takes its name from some springs in the vicinity.

In that area, the home of natives engaged in agriculture and pottery before the arrival of the Spaniards, is the largest indigenous sepulcher in the Caribbean.
Scientific tests have proven that the skulls and discovered skeletons there belonged to people who lived between the years of 1490 and 1540. Other estimates go much further, classifying these discoveries as those of a primitive community from about 10,000 years ago.

The sepulcher is particularly interesting. It has an area of 2,000 square meters, and 56 of the 108 graves that have been discovered are visible. The shape, place and the depth of each has been respected.
Pearl shells, ceramic shards, handles in human and animal forms, and a gold icon symbolizing the god Inriri Cavababayael, used by the ancestors to invoke nature, are silent witnesses of a distant past.
In areas near this archaeological site you can taste typical Taíno dishes while viewing the indigenous village, founded in the vicinity of the Chorro de Maíta burial ground.

Bonjour Robert,

Robert

Hi Rob,

Now that's a morning view I'd love to wake up too!..lol... Even though the sun was working against you, it still turned out pretty good! ..:)

Well done

La lumière est semble tout simplement iréelle. De plus elle renforce les couleurs de l'endroit. Excellent.

Robert, this one does not do it for me. It is cluttered, completely flared, hazy and without a focal interest. No amount of words can make it better. It really contrasts wantingly with your other good work.
