Easter Sunday!

Where are we, I am sitting ( well then .... ) at my table at the Ranchon Santa Maria , the restaurant located on Playa Esmeralada of the Paradisus Rio de Oro.

Martine is with me, the meal is ordered, and we are having a drink . While Martine and me are talking , we are also both looking around to enjoy the view. Of course, I look with different eyes, and things back in my mind (^_^).

Looking for a good target at all times, scrutening like the terminator, with a camera as my brains ( LOL! ).

Between our table and the beach , a tree is separating us. Through the branches I had this hole , with a young lady preparing herself for a tanning session. (^_^) Then the Security guard on Duty appeared. He is also scrutening all around him, but not for the same reasons....

Looks I am in trouble. No it is not her bodyguard... Ouf , I am safe.

Why in fact is he there ? you may ask yourself. Are we in danger here ? Not all all. If I may say it this way...... It is litterally a free for all at the resort ( in a positive way of course! ). You never have too show any identification or sign any voucher. Unlike the hotels surrounding us, we have unlimited, drinks ( including Champagne , Wine and most International liquor brands ), seafood, meat, and so on ... So, you can certainly understand our hosts do not wish to have guests from other hotels entering the resort, penalizing their own guests. Believe me a lot of guests are still trying to ''visit'' the place.

Despite his serious face here ( the bright sun is not helping ), the guy is quite sympatic!
By the way they work eight hours a day in uniform, despite the blazing sun. Here is one of the coolest lookout place for them, a fresh breeze is always refreshing us. Unlike inland where is is reallly hot.

On the beach, there is a lot of activity during the day. Most of the time, of course they are standing under a tree, for shelter. But they are busy! There is somebody on duty 24hrs/day. At night it is quite boring for them.

You have these gentlemen all around the hotel. Fortunately. The accesses are limited as natural bounderies such as : 1 - the Ocean ! 2- the Laguna 3 - Wooden area are isolating us.

Later I will present you a few more of these guys.

Technically!
1 ) Image cropped
2 ) Took away some unwanted objects in the sand
3 ) Balanced the light with Dark and Light tones adjustments.
4 ) Auto levels, contrasts, colors

With Photofiltre
Added frame and title !

Thank you for your visit!

Have a great day!

Robert

PS. If I may add , looking at the Original photo posted as a Workshop, you will see the composition is far from perfect. Well since I am working with a digital camera, I realized it was not necessary to get the ultimate perfect shot on my visor. I found it is better to take the instant , and modify some elements afterwards with PP. A great advantage for creativity too.
Thanks to the Post Processing.

Bonjour Robert

Hi Robert
Very nice composition, colors..
very nice point of view:)
take care
Deniz

Hi Rober, What beatiful colours, I really like the way the shot is framed by the leaves. Great focal detail on the security guard, did you ask him to smile?
nice.
TFS

LOL, looks like you are in trouble again, my friend!

Great description of your resort. Sounds wonderful!

What a great capture, Robert! I love the composition and the story the photo tells. I also like how the color of the officer's shirt matches the water. Good PP work as well. Bravo!

Oh gosh what an expression!

This photo is really PERFECT! I mean you have the leaves in the forefront, giving us the impression of being sneaky. Then you have the expression on the man's face, saying he isn't pleased at all by what he's seeing. And the fact that he is a cop/gaurd/authority figure etc., may just as well turn the photo into the view of a run-away thief or something alike. Great background as well, adds a merry touch to a sour frown. ;)

Biance.

Hi Robert!
I decieded to start going back in time to see what awesome photos I missed..and this one is neat.. Love your sense of humor for one but this is a great photo of the security dude..:o) Love the colors of the Ocean as well.. Looks like a great vacation spot.
TFS!

Donna :o)
