[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Daily life or scene for the Cubans but for me and Martine Definitely a decisive moment (^_^)

Again we are on Playa Esmeralda, enjoying a walk on the beach. The catamaran is coming back from the coral reefs, located off Playa Caleticas.

Technically:
Cropped the top and bottom of the portrait size photo. Cloned one unwanted swimmer. Corrected the tilt of the horizon. I found it pretty difficult to shoot accurately with the bright sun , when you are using the LCD screen as visor (*_^). Added frame and title with Photofiltre.

As per suggestion received from Brent alias Padre , I zoomed on the subjects for a closer view. See the Workshop added. Which one do you prefer ?

Belle couleurs, journee ensoleillee fantastique! La premiere idee qui m'est venue est: il n'y a pas de requins j'espere! :)

Pour repondre a ta question, quelle des 2 photos je prefere, les deux sont belles. La difference reside dans la perspective que l'on veut demontrer. Toi tu nous demontres l'etendue de la mer qui semble descendre lentement avant qu'on ne puisse plus toucher le fond.

Dans le ws, les sujets sont plus proches et ne focus pas sur la perspective.

OK it took me 3 months to find this.
Better late than never!
I'm not going to get too prosaic here but the real value of a great shot isn't technical - not that this isn't technically good - but ultimately the emotional effect it has on the observer. Like music, literature, any art form.
This shot makes me long to BE there, without a care in the world. I could sit and stare into that photograph for an hour.
That, my friend, is an achievement.

What an amazing beach! Colors are spectacular and the composition is nice. i might have preferred to have the boat on one side and the people on the other, but you not always have what you want when you compose a shot. Regards, Yvonne
