Today , I offer you another shot from our recent trip to Cuba. Geeee it was already two months ago.....

We see here the Ranchon Santa Maria, one of the three restaurants located on Playa Esmeralda.

Christophus Columbus landed here in the 15th century. So I do not have to add the other two restaurants are named Nina and Pinta .....

For those of you , who missed the previous postings, here we are at the Paradisus Rio de Oro resort .

Technically:
Image tilted and just slightly cropped
Adjusted tones, colors, levels, contrasts, luminosity. Note the various tones of the see are caused by the diffference in the sea bed. Sand, rocks, weeds creates the different blue tones.

Difficult here to avoid the overexposed area in the front as I wanted a general view of the ''dining room''.

This restaurant is only open between 12h30 and 15h00. It is a good rush hour every day to enjoy a great meal. Well worthed visit with such a view.

Have a great day!
Robert

Thats the trouble with harsh sun, it creates so much contrast, difficult to control. You could try dodging and burning in the midtones/shadows or cropping tighter. Nice general shot however.

Hi Rob,

In these situations the lighting is very hard to control. This creates heavy overexposed parts in photo. And at times, there really isn't anything which we can do. Apart from that, you captured the vivid Caribbean colours very well. I like the perspective which you chose. Seems like a great place to have lunch!

Well done
Constantinos
