[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
After a good meal , one good coffee at the bar...

Yes , We are back in Cuba. Image taken using the ambiant light. Small Halogen spot directly above the bar provided the light.

Check tomorrow to see some people making the place so friendly.

Have a great day!

Robert

Technically.
Basically uncropped
Darkened the lights in the background.
Auto levels, contrasts and colors.
Sharpened a bit.
Added frame and title.

See the Workshop , to view a shot of some of the personnel working at the bar (*_*). You will note how these guys they like to work and have fun together. Service with a smile at all times guaranteed !

Superb lighting Robert.
The white balance is spot on.
The mood is emphasized by the lighting.
Well done.

I like the real deep shadows here, gives it a good feel, well done!

Looks very inviting Robert. I like how the lighting is subdued and the background so dark. Good job,
Janice

Wow, Robert this is quite different from anything else I saw from Cuba! The spotlit coffee cup on the neutral colors floating on dark wood with a black background... It all works very well for a mood around a morning coffee for some private eye. Hmm, almost needs a cigarette sitting in an ashtray, some smoke curling up into the air... But I guess that was another era. But now that I think of it, have you tried this in B&W? -- it might give more of a period feel.
Mike
P.S. I think what's most clear from the photos is Martine is a saint for letting you take pictures of everything everywhere!
Cheers,
Mike

Hi Robert,
J'aime mon café avec un bon crème et de 'Splenda 'Lol! This looks just about right, all that is missing are the beignets!!
Great perspective, colors, sharp images and composition. TFS,
Fran

Salut Robert,
Il a l'air succulent ce café. J'aime bien comment tu l'a composé avec ce point de vue et le menu du bar. Ca me rappelle mes vacances.
Bonne journée
Luc

A frothy coffee after a good meal is always nice. I think to improve the shot the focus should be on the cup as this is the main subject, then the items in the background would be slightly blurred. The colour tones and lighting is perfect.

Hi Rob,

I couldn't agree with you more! THere is nothing better that a coffee after a meal :))
Excellent POV with great natural lighting! I like the WS too!

Very well seen & composed.

Robert,
The first thing that catches my eye is the dark BG. Nice work achieving that. The shadowed areas make this a awesome picture.
Nice work. The USA is only 90 miles from Cuba and I have never been, what a pity.
Scott
