If you take the Via Blanca highway and make a pit stop at a 'brasserie' (forgot the name of it) that's perched against a lush green canyon ... then (not only) will you find the best pina coladas on the face of the planet - super fresh since, they split open the coconuts right on the bar's ledge - but you'll also hear a small band that entertains all the visitors with merely ... a guitar, a drum and a lovely mouth. But the whole time you're there you'll feel the sun searing into your shoulders, your crown and the back of your legs n slicked neck. But this pit stop is definitely worth while because, when you stand on the observational deck of this cafe you get to stare into that healthy chasm that separates Matanzas from La Habana, and you're eyes will follow the smooth paths the 'lesser' yellow headed vultures take ... and though they're remotely gross because you know they're only circling in order to spot carrion ... you can't help but admire that gorgeous wingspan and how they blend with the wind.

P.S. I learn..ed the word chasm from this (nice) song ... found in this DVD ... by this (wholly sublime) artist. :) |

Great capture! Excellent composition, good sharpness and bokeh - and amazing considering you were working with only a 200mm lens!
Rew
beautiful feeling of freedom.
the b/w and blurry bg are working perfect.

Wow Biance, how sharp you caught this vulture! I simply love that light through his wings, the feathers really stand out. Great contrast in this b&w. I'm a fan of birds of prey and other large airborne animals, so thanks... for sharing this ;o)
Hello Biance,
What I have been doing with my latest ducks in sharpening and noise reduction, I now also did with your vultures.
The word 'abyss' would be another way that fits the bills and works well for interesting lyrics. ;-)
Greetings, Dennis

Hi Be,
A great capture, considering technical conditions. In my opinion the selection of the B&W is very right, since it gives more dramatic character.
Congratulations,
