Here is a second photo from our family trip to Varadero, Cuba in last April. My girlfriend and I were enjoying the beach while our daughter was playing... so I decided to experiement a little bit. I focused on my girlfriend's toe nails but kept our daughter in background. The result was amazing and was obtained like so directly from the lens. No postprocessing at all to create or increase the blurring effect. Boy, I love this 18-200mm lens !!! I hope you'll enjoy and find it as funny as I do ??? Don't hesitate to provide any comments.

Hola !

Enjoy it !!!
Cheers, Frank.

Hi Frank,

I like your experiment.
You did well with the f/5.6 to blur you daughter just enough to still see her and what she is doing.
Your girlfriends foot and toes are sharp and gives and great impression of depth in the photo.
The colours and light are great.
It all adds to the feeling of a warm summer day on the beach.

I think the composition is a little bit off. I think it would have worked better if you had more of the foot and maybe a little leg take up 1/3 of the frame from the right and tried to place your daughter on the remaining 2/3 of the frame. Just a thought.

Cheers,
Jens
