Nice picture with the road leading to the mountains. When I look at those kids by the roadside I think that the social justice and hope is also as far away as those mountains that you see in the picture.

Effectivement par cette image tu montres bien qu'il n'y a pas seulement que des palmiers et des plages en République Dominicaine. Il y a aussi le quotidien des gens, qui à nos yeux peut paraître parfois difficile. Par contre leurs sourire montre bien une joie de vivre malgré tout. Bonne photo avec le chemin et la voie ferrée en légère diagonale menant aux pieds des montagnes. J'aime bien la présence des jeunes, ils semblent très attentif à votre passage. Photo qui montre bien les grands espaces que l'on ne penserait peut-être pas trouver dans ce pays. Très bonne présentation.

C'est la route sans fin on dirait... À côté de cette rail de chemin de fer, elle semble mener nulle part... J'aime bien cette perspective, la profondeur de champs et ces couleurs bien saturées. This is so nice Annie. Always nice to see people from around the world, see and read about their way of life. Is what got my attention is how the kids are on the edge of the road...here they are alot of the times in the middle of the road...thinking they own it, or daring ya to say something to them:) Very nice shooting Annie and thanks for sharing this beautiful photo.

Je m'arrête sur cette magnifique image, car il faut s'arrêter parfois. Tu nous présentes un tableau, où tout est parfaitement déposé. Ce qui me frappe d'abord, c'est le point de vue surélevé, qui donne une impression hors du commun.

C'est la vérité nue de ce pays que tu nous exposes. Et les pays moins fortunés ont tant à nous apprendre.... Bravo!

Encore plus si on est facteur! Le Podomètre est alors un bon investissement!
Ha mais il y a route et route! Ici ça rapelle presque ce sage qui disais que pour bien connaître un homme il faut avoir marché dans ses soulier. Je ne suis pas sûr. Félix Leclerc je crois.
Et certaines rues bien que ce soit du concret ici, dans l'abstrait je dirais qu'elles sont plus poussiéreuses les rues chez certains que d'autres. J'en aime la symbolique et la beauté visuelle aussi avec les montagnes au loin qui donnent ligne d'horison dans une belle subtilité.

Hi Annie,

When I was in the DR I never got a chance to see the inland areas, except when we travelled to/from the Airport/Hotel. We went through the cities, but never the country... a real shame now that I think back. The long hard shadows and soft clouds above really stand well with one another... such a nice contrast, both visually and mentally. A wonderful composition, perfectly balanced. TFS!
