Found some tutorials on Paint Shop Pro on the web and decided I'd try my hand on this effect.

This photo was taken last year in the Dominican Republic during our vacation.

PP: cropped, resized clarified and sharpened.
For the steps on how to create this effect, see here.

Hello to those of you that are just looking.
And HELLO and THANK YOU VERY MUCH to those of you that take the time to leave critiques/comments/workshops :-).

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck, it must be a duck.

With a rubber duck, one's never alone.

Man who waits for roast duck to fly into mouth must wait very, very long time.

I like the saying, "If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and swims like a duck, Treat em like ducks, but you don't have to tell them they are ducks!" in reference to calling people names... HAHA!
Very nice shot Pierre! Good work man!
B-)

Hello Pierre,

Wonderful!
I have tried to follow your tutorial and although I understood for a long time, I'm afraid I became lost! I will study it more carefully when I have peace and quiet!
I just love what you have achieved here and thank you for sharing your knowledge!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Pierre,
This is good work. Starting with the original photo; nice and sharp, well lit and posed and just a good starting view.
Then on to the OOB work, very nicely done. I've played around with this effect a bit, haven't really gotten it down just yet--takes patience and time, although it caused me to buy a graphics tablet and pen versus trying to do all the outlining with a mouse, which has helped--but maybe I'll post an example one of these days.
You've got to love the OOB effect though and the 3D feel it gives to the image.
Nicely done, thanks much for sharing.
Wilt

Very artistic, Pierre and you learned very well. This fellow looks like he is going to step right on my desk. The unusual shape to the background is really great and of course Mr. Duck is perfect. I love how you have used the TL background as part of the image. Bravo Mon Ami.

Very creative, Pierre. Good execution on the warp and shadows. Very good shot of the original, with effective POV.
Cheers!

Hello Pierre, this is a WOW, super effect, very well done. I miss TL friends but getting some work done! :} Don

Excellente présentation Pierre, en fait j'aime beaucoup l'effet 3D produit dans ce type de photo au point de vouloir en faire l'essai un de ces quatre ,
en tout cas c'est fort bien expliqué sur ton site, appréciable !

Hello Pierre, excellent pp work,a great idea.
The duck is very sharp,I like that there are still drops of water coming from her.
Thanks for the advice, I will have to follow it up when I have time to study it carefully.
Regards Jean.

Bonjour Pierre,
Quelle habileté tu as de créer ce genre d'image! Vraiment renversant!
Annie

For someone, like myself, who knows so very little about pp work this is really incredible!! I love what you've done!! TFS

Hello Piet
Seeing your last photo's .. coming of the Cruiser yesterday I wanted to react on this one first..
A.. it is a very good shot and so is the PP - plus note !
I realy like what you did here Bro !
Compliments and greets from the other side of the pond :
