Hello Trudy,
Great posting for the upcoming Easter holidays , Holy week is celebrated with immense devotion over there and you were there during that time , Wow lucky you ! Thanks to your height and first row position you were able to capture the whole thing almost down to the girls' feet .I can't help but smile at the sight of the second to last girl enjoying a chat on her mobile phone, she comes as a surprise indeed !
Thanks for sharing this one and i like your large frame it increases the perspective somewhat ,

A superb daily life shot from Guatemala, with good sharpness, colour & framing. I like the girl with the cell phone breaking the pattern, even though it's probably inappropriate timing, on her part. Tfs!

Certainly the faith of people come even shaken,
most people do not follow as before!
And look what I studied at Colegio de priest and were
hard with everything, seeing your picture, and others comment
the cells phone already it is part of people's lives, as
the air we need. So that was a funny scene.
The photo is beautiful colors and excellent definition
in the picture!

this is really an interesting shot!
I usually see pictures of the semana santa in Spain where men carry the float or the cross, and seeing girls here doing the same is kind of surprising.
I like the way you froze the scene - the various expressions of the girls' faces, their heads covered with scarves, some waring gloves, one even talking into her mobile phone!
truly a well-spot image!

the one thing I noticed is that they were all in step left foot forward.
The seriousness of the ceremony is reflected on their faces except of course the gal with the cell and handbag.
A special event to remember.Well done
