I met these two young Guatemalans on a 9 Km walk from San Antonio Palopo to Panajachel the main center of services located on the north shore of Lago de Atitlan , arguably one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. These sweet Mademoiselles were friendly enough to chat with us and just as happy and eager to have their photo taken too . I know it's not perfect in many regards : the light was harsh from the right , their faces not so well lit either ,i did some work on it in PP to look more'decent' for posting : dodging and burning , a slight blurring of the stone wall behind , sharpening and frame , as for scanned images no Exif data is available neither would i remember any details of focal , speed and aperture , iso was 200 well that i know for sure though .
I would like to thank my good friend Trudy ( Teamill )for sharing her own Guatemala images on this site , these have been a source of inspiration and motivation to me . Gracias Amiga !
A Happy Easter to all of you TL

I like the lighting and shadow, and of course find the clothing very interesting. Nice work once again. TFS and have a Happy Easter!
Ha! Excellent Carol!! Seeing these lovely Guatemalan girls brought a huge smile to my face (I knew immediately how they got to TL!!) They look so sweet. The indigenous clothing is immediately recognizable - this particular village obviously wears red. Aren't those Mayan the most wonderful gracious people?
The PP work you did on this looks perfectly fine - I'm so happy to see your shots of Guatemala, that the quality doesn't matter much to me anyway:)
Muchas gracias to you for posting this my friend!
Trudy:)

hi Carol
1994? This is a scan version from film?
I like the pose and expression, regardless of the light condition which is still managed reasonably well. What I like is the dress code and this being shot against the rock.
Nice work.
tfs, bill
What is wrong with people?? This photo is outstanding! Just JUMPED off the page at me. Wonderful shadows created by these two~! I love the textured wall it really makes the colorful clothing stand out! This deserves so much more attention Carol!
