Remember Danli
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Danlí is a municipality and a city in the Honduran department of El Paraíso. The municipality has a flag which consists of 3 horizontal stripes, with green over white over maroon, and representing agriculture, purity and hospitality. The screaming monkey (a creature in danger of extinction to be found in the nearby Apaguiz and Apapuerta mountains) is its official mammal, the zanate (grackle) is its bird and the Naked Indian tree is its tree, while the Napoleón is its flower. (en.wikipedia.org)
I will remember Danli. The crowd, the traffic, lots of adverts and electric lines... dust, temperature, scent of oil and paved roads. Clubs, cold drinks, the smell of forest in the night, taste of tilapia and local coconut wine... a lots of things. |
