| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Here is a shot from our resort during our honeymoon again looking back towards the mountains. Not as pretty of a picture but I still just wanted to share it. In the bottom you can see what our resort buildings looked like. It was very nice there. |

Hi Derrick, since your intro states you want to improve, I'll be as honest as I can...
In fact, I see 2 pictures in one: a) the tiled roof with nice colours and textures, b) the resort and the scenery beyond.
Since one of the rules of thumb in photography is to keep things simple, two (subjects) "is a crowd". As is, the large blob of roof only distracts from the scenery, and since the roof has plenty of detail, the scenery sort of distracts from the roof. See what I mean?
I can imagine that from your PoV the roof was sort of unavoidable. Still... couldn't you have stepped more towards the right, so the roof would become less important in the compo? That way the building would be more prominent, showing what you state in the note: "it was very nice there".
As for the purely "tech" bit, it's not too bad at all. The light is good, colours are well defined and saturated, depti of field (DoF) was large enough.
One definite nit-pick: the spot about 2 cm above the roof, near the left edge: what was it, what did it there? IMO it is very distracting and it has no use in the shot, so: get rid of it. The Gimp's clone tool will help you out here...
As always, this is just my opinion... feel free to disagree.
