This is a view of the small town of Nata ( well part of it ....) located on highway 1 in the Cocle province of Panama. This view in B&W is from Nata's Iglesia de Nata belfry ( the church was built in 1522 and is the towm's main attraction though well preserved colonial houses are also to be found around it ).This is one of four bells in the belfry all were made from the 20th century as the original ones made of gold were stolen years ago .We were lucky to find the church door and the accesss stairs to the belfry opened as it it has no regular hours of visit .
I would like to present this picture for this Friday theme ,
F/4 ,1/500 ,taken with my Sony DSC-H1 my first digital camera which i do not have anymore,
Thank you your appreciation ,
Carol

Bonjour Carol,
Superbe sujet pour le thème de la semaine. J'aime beaucoup la profondeur, ici!
La conversion montre une belle gamme de gris ponctuée de noir et de blanc purs. Du très beau travail! Bravo! Annie

Hi, Carol!

Hello Carol
Super POV and composition; amazing light capture and an excepcional sharpness and b/w work.
Congrats, mb

Carol overall a very beautiful shot !
Good composition and IMO good thinking to convert it to B/W.

Two " buts " I find a bit regrettable

First the sky.
A bit more contrast ( and it's in the photo, I can see it )
would make it even more " speaking ", or full

The white cross on the foreground.
Shame it's OE.
If there's no contrast at all in the original photo
then you can't get contrast ...
but you can always try to soften the OE

Yes I do love the dark silhouette of the bell !
BTW I would kill that gray spot above the clapper
to make the silhouette complete.

Just details Carol :-)

TFS
Jan
