[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A young Mayan woman at the market town of Chichicastenago posed for me. A friend and I spent two days with her family at the food stall in the market negotiating to buy a special huipil, which is traiditional embroidered blouse they wear. It was kind of more like an bargaining session you'd see in the Arab world. Some talking about the price, then some food. Them more negotiating, then some chatting. Over the course of the two days, we felt we'd been adopted by this family. A memorable experience in a coloful place. This is a scan of 35mm negative. Sorry, I don't have exposure info.

Beautiful photo, i love her facial expression and the blur in the background. Great inclusion of some of her blouse (Guatemalan textiles and cloths are stunning). I like the earthy gray tones of the photo.
