| This photo was taken at a little cafe by the Danube River in Melk. The markings on the left side of the building indicate flood levels in previous years. The mark above the woman's head was the level reached in 2003, when devastating floods affected much of Eastern Europe. Prague flooded 3 days after we left, covering the beautiful cobblestone streets and causing millions of Euros of damage and loss of life throughout Europe. Everywhere we went on our river cruise flood levels were marked on buildings. The people seem almost complacent as it happens so often. |

Hi Alli
Nice photo!We have the same problem in Portugal,the houses near of the tagus river in all winter the water levels go up and make a flood,and isolate many places.But,it's a beautiful place for living.

Cool picture. From the left side it look a little ascew but the colors are great and the framing is good too. Just one problem on that corner, should try cropping it out if you can.
