The lady with the sax. Last year we visited Vienna, (capital city of Austria) on the first of May.
This is labor day in Europe. On that day there where still demonstration and festivals. On our walk to the hotel this lady was playing in the streets. I must say still very good. She was nice and was making money that nice evening in Vienna.

I remember this lady from my start on TL (may 2005), the coloured version in another POV; also impressive.
I play saxes myself and know that it is rather difficult, even impossible, to play without teeth. This altosax could be her only source of income. Closed eyes, still showing her history in skin.

Great portrait - more amazing is that I definitely have seen a photo of her before... don't know where...
I like the way she is so concentrated on what she is playing, and of course her face is very interesting (surprisingly old...). She certainly would have a story to tell (or two...).

Great Picture and great crop

This one is filled with nostalgia. So expressive....i guess she loves to play. She's gor her heart and soul into it. And black and white adds that final touch to this amazing capture.

I like this portrait very much, very touching to see this expression on her face. The colour-version is a very good one, too, although this one looks to be more concentrated. Great work, a favourite!

Very nice composition of this sax lady, Ruud. Her face lies on the diagonal between the two corners of the photo. The photo is just plain "Sharp" in all its meanings. She must have some very healthy lungs to be playing sax at her age. Very nicely done photo.
