Braunau am Inn is a city in the Innviertel region of Upper Austria (Oberösterreich), the north-western state of Austria. It lies about 90 km west of Linz and about 60 km north of Salzburg, on the border with the German state of Bavaria. The population in 2001 was 16,372. A port of entry, it is connected by bridges over the Inn River with its Bavarian counterpart, Simbach am Inn. It is well-known as the birthplace of Adolf Hitler.





Braunau am Inn – miasto nad rzeką Inn, w północno-zachodniej części Austrii, w kraju związkowym Górna Austria (Oberösterreich), siedziba powiatu Braunau am Inn. Leży około 90 km na zachód od Linzu, w pobliżu granicy z niemieckim landem Bawaria. Liczba mieszkańców: 16 360 (2005).

Miasto zostało założone w 1110 roku jako forteca i ważny węzeł szlaków handlowych, głównie obsługując handel solą i ruch statków na rzece Inn. Do Bawarii należało do 1779 roku i ponownie w latach 1809-1816.

Do zabytków Braunau należy XV-wieczny kościół z 99-metrową wieżą, ruiny zamku mieszczące muzeum, a także częściowo zachowane mury miejskie.

W 1889 roku urodził się tutaj i do 3. roku życia mieszkał Adolf Hitler.

Piekne kolorystycznie sa te kamieniczki Jurku,wspaniale detale.Widac ze wycieczka tym razem miala charakter architektory.Oj jak troche czasu dopisze trzeba sie tam wybrac widzac takie obrazy jak tutaj i jeszcze ta notka.Piekna kompozycja.
