Sumi-e in Color :)

See the unedited photo HERE
I have very few pics in Vienna (and other cities) with me as most of my pics were withheld as ransom by someone in exchange of a one-night stand. This pic has lotsa handshake blur so I made some artistic version by using the Sumi-e filter in Photoshop :)

Lesson: Don't believe people's promises that they'd send you your picture files after you leave them in their laptops. They might conjure up some ideas for you to retrieve them. I still haven't gotten my 'lost' pics up to now :)

Composition:
POV: just opposite one of the train stations in Vienna
Software: Adobe Photoshop CS3
Exposure Time: 1/8
F-Stop: f/4.1
Focal Length: 29200/1000 mm
Metering Mode: Pattern

Pp work:
1. sharpen to counter shake blur
2. resize to 600x450
3. warp to straighten and warp some elements
4. use Brush Strokes filter, Sumi-e
5. use Sumi-e filet again
6. resize pixel for TL

Quote of the Day:
"Let us first say what photography is not. A photograph is not a painting, a poem, a symphony, a dance. It is not just a pretty picture, not an exercise in contortionist techniques and sheer print quality." -Berenice Abbott

Hi Fred.Interesting and nice experimental photo.
Best regards, Bosko.

Hi Freddie -

Great way to salvage a blurry image! I like the graphic arts look of the results. Interesting that Picasso is involved...lol.

Please remember that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!

Side note: Hope your dog bite is healing well, and you are safe and sound. I didn't want to show up in the forum thread in the vicinity of the other rabid critters...you understand:)

Happy travels and photo ops! (Not ooops...lol)

- Karen
