This is one side of the Kogelnik fountain in Klagenfurt in front of the southern side of the Landhaus, the regional parliament.
Kiki Koglenik is one of the most famous Carinthian artists of the 20th century. Born in 1935 in Bleiburg she studied at the University for Apllied Arts in Vienna before moving in 1961 to New York. There she was quickly established in the arts scene and here works were shown frequently in exhibitions.
She died in 1997 in vienna.
The head is typically for her artwork and can be seen in many of here paintings, sculptures and glasswork. |
