I hope you will be a little consoled by the praise given to your shot. It must be soul destroying to see everyone posting bright, spring shots!

Superb composition and a great depth as the eyes move across the village and struggle up the mist covered hilside. The sun is coming through, I can see brightness and shadows in the f/g.
