Angelic Violinist of Vienna
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is a sweet and spunky little girl named Claire who I met in Vienna. She had just gotten a new violin after outgrowing her previous one, and she was "fiddling around" on it when I took this picture. I thought her pose was really cute, but the background was too cluttered, so I cut her out and put her into a picture from a different location in Vienna--showing the view of Vienna from the path near the Glorietta at the Schönbrunn Palace. If you climb the path to the Glorietta you can look down on the palace and also see Vienna from above.
In the post-processing, I was trying to give the girl an angelic look, so that's why the picture is so light and in some places I made the background show through a little (most noticeable on the violin). I also converted the picture to duotone to get the blue colors, and then I changed the color of the violin to emphasize it. |

This is a delightful angelic/dreamy composition and one that she will one day treasure. Well-conceived, well-executed: there are stories waiting to be told here and I love that.

Hello Erin,
Lovely composition. Hardwork really pays off. Like the drama in your photo.
More power,
Jomari
Hi Erin - This is a lovely coposition and a fitting title. I agree with Silke that there are 'stories waiting to be told' here. This may be one of the reasons for such images to stay in people's minds. - Cheers, Cordelia :)
