It's All Greek To Me
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
At the Kunsthistorische Museeum in Vienna, I found this display a very pleasing arrangement. The absence of a fig leaf on the statue of the young man points to it's greek origin. Roman copies of greek classical art can easily be spotted by the cover up.
Since there is no flash allowed, I was lucky that I had enough light throug the exterior windows. I also found the window reflection in the background, and the reflection of the floor in the polished marble base an additional bonus, adding interesting detail.
I slightly lightened and color adjusted, scanned from paper and cropped. |

Nice composition, Otto. Good details included here. I'd recommend a rotation and sharpen, though. I've poseted a WS.

Hi Otto. Considering the light condition sand the fact that it is a scanned imaged very well done. Such a pity they allow no flash or this would hve been an absolute beauty with the different textures. Well composed and I like the focus on the statue to the left. TFS,
David
