[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is taken in Schladming Austria January 2007. Please notice that all the green areas in the background, it was there where I was supposed to ski - downhill off course.
I was in this city fore many years, and I have never ever seen anything like it, heard about it yes, but never seen.
The white area you can see, is not natural snow, it is done by snow canons. Terrible to run on, but it is still better than now snow.
Schladming is located nearby the extreme beautiful Mountain “Darchstein Massive”. It’s a very beautiful area, and I can recommend this area fore any ho want to ski in a place whiteout Discos all over the place. The area is for beginners and for daredevils you can find it all here. You can take your children whit you, its not that big so no one will get loosed. This winter my wife and I will be there in the week’s nr. 3. And 4. Together whit a lot off friends.

O my dear, not very good terms to go skiing. Poor Jens, you had not much luck this year as I know because I'm living not very far away from Schladming.
Perhaps next year, I keep my fingers crossed for you, bye

Hello Jens

Such a shame the lack of snow but your image is excellent and a good POV to show the missing white material with the added interest of the buildings

TFS regards Helen

Nice place. Sorry the lack of snow ;-(. Bette luck next time. I meant the weather. The picture is really Austria.

Hi Jens,
Being a skifan also (mostly virtually. Ski Racing 2006 rules!) I know there's Slalom World Cup race for men in Schladming (I hate that circuit in SR 2006, hah). But I see it was only downhill this year. :) I also hate snowless winters like we had here in Hungary also, so let's hope we'll have a better next one.

Hello Jens.
Nice reminder to me.
We went there for skiing about 25 years ago with the kids.
They had the first lessons there.
Good slopes there (forgot the names of that area)
Jan

Hi Jens , exept for the forgotton tower top you made a good photo and message here.
You have to go to Buenas Aires now to see snow. TC
