[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
See, when the pavement is uneven, even the bollards are dancing !!!
Do you feel the rhythm ?
..............

"The flat floor is an invention of the architects. It fits engines - not human beings. (...)

If modern man is forced to walk on flat asphalt and concrete floors as they were planned thoughtlessely in designers' offices, estranged from man's age old relationship and contact to earth, a crucial part of man withers and dies. This has catastrophic consequences for the soul, the equilibrium, the well-being and the health of man.
(...)

An uneven and animated floor is the recoverery of man's mental equilibrium, of the dignity of man which has been violated in our levelling, unnatural and hostile urban grid system.(...)

The uneven floor becomes a symphony, a melody for the feet and brings back natural vibrations to man.
Architecture should elevate and not subdue man.
It is good to walk on uneven floors and regain our human balance "

(The Uneven Floor -Hundertwasser -, 1991)

That's all about Hundertwasser folks !
(At least for the moment; I have to go in the summer to show you the trees growing in his buildings)

thanks,
v
ps.Shot in front of KunstHausWien where not only the floors are uneven but the pavement, too

Very cool textures Vald and the Black and white is perfect for it. I loved your note and you have chosen a great POV to highlight this “uneven” scene. Super clarity throughout the image. Well done.

Wanda

Hi, Vlad!

Excellent BW work with interestin POV and beautiful tones.

Hello Vlad,
Not an "easy looking" photo, but a very rich one full of interesting and amusing details. Thanks to the low POV, this picture gives us a good impression of "curved life" in this part of Vienna. Effective composition and lines, as well as an appropriate choice for black and white, as it simplifies this complex photo without wiping out its richness.
TFS & kind regards,
Erik
