Climb thrust set...

Took this picture after take off from Flughafen Wien-Schwechat [Airport Vienna-Schwechat] runway 29 and climb power was set.

This engine setting is selected after the take off power to ensure a quick and smooth climb to the selected altitude (26.000 feet in this case) without spoiling unnecessary fuel.

As you can see the first officer (normally seated in the right hand seat) didn't obstruct my view on the Danube and Vienna.... I asked him to get a coffee for the captain and me, which is his core business [getting coffee] and don't deny OWO we don't belief you :-) We flew unfortunately without flight attendants... No, joking folks, he is in the foreword position to fly the aircraft as PF [pilot flying] as precaution when the auto-pilot fails ;-) which means the captain (PNF = pilot not flying) is doing the other business (like reading the newspaper)

So I got a reasonable clear shot with my new bought Sony Cyber-Shot :-) Which doesn't mean I changed brands. the Sony was a Sale on Schiphol Airport, and I can carry this camera always with me. But I love my Nikon!

Hope you like this view too...any questions?

In the WS you find another picture taken from this window, to show this isn't a fake or PP.

PP work:
Adjusted brightness and saturation just minor, resized add frame and text.

Hi Hans

I like the tilted rectangle, within the primary rectangle of the frame. Good colour & sharpness. Tfs!

Wonderful pov love how you used the airplane as 'natural' framing. Love the clouds too how do you get them so 'perfect' for your pics? TFS
Christan

Hi Hans,
Very cool! Awesome view and well composed level shot. The frame works here as well. Congrats!

Hi Hans,
Great shot from the cockpit, maybe I could borrow your pass when I next go flying LOL, and a new camera, I have started to carry a point and shoot when I remember and don't have the Big Guns, I don't think you could have got a better frame than that of the cockpit window and a great view of Vienna.
Well done
Regards Andy

I love it!

Again that real sense of adventure - great POV and a compelling piece of photojournalism. Great to see that you can pull off a great shot on a compact camera too.

Rew

jaaha.. mooi shot Hans...

gr.,
Anneke

Hi Hans,

First of all, I must say I love the way you have framed Vienna, and framed the photo. It's a myriad of frames! I think the perspective is great.

tfs, Lisa

by the way....next time they need a flight attendant, call me! LOL I can smile and serve coffee!

Hallo Hans.
Ik dacht even dat ik door een dakraam keek.
Niet zo verwondelijk, het lijkt erop, toch ?
Goed gekozen composition. Zelfs de rivier doet er aan mee.
Groeten van Jan

Hi Hans:
I am amazed with the details through a glass that you have captured!
Very well presented as well!!!
David

Beautiful tutorial in great aviation photography. The cockpit window is a great framing elemement for the other strong elements of the photograph to appear through which catches the very visceral powerful beautiful elements of flight. This captures well the glory of aviation!

Hi Hans,

Great shot my friend of showing the aerial after take off . .
Clear presentation both in and outside plane . . it's a good camera though . .
I thought you change gear to SONY . .

Hello Hans
very interesting view from take off... My eyes are still closed tight during this point in a flight death grip on the arm rests!

Good results with your new small toy!

Hi Hans
So...this is how to fly the friendly skies.
Fantastic view from the large bird's eye view of the city.
Everyone should have a job where you can combine business with pleasure.
Good shot and thank you for being priviledge to be in your favorites.

Beautiful capture.
Very good natural framing.

Yikes!! I just lost my breakfast!..HAHA! I hate flying, my stomach can't take it....my nerves are on edge!...this photo makes me dizzy!! What a great shot Hans!....I'm glad it was you and not me!
Now, let me pour myself a good stiff whiskey and try to gain my sea legs back!
B-)

Hi Hans,

Good to read your note. Seeing 'Sony W55', I almsot threw you out of my favourites list ;-). I also had a Sony! But my true love is my Nikon.
Hmmm, seems I did the wrong study. Drinking coffee and reading the newspaper. That sounds like a perfect job for me!! :-)

Greetings!
Dennis

Een goed cameraatje in zakformaat wat wil een mens nog meer Hans.

Hi Hans,

Quite a nice shot inside world's best office! You can easily see the climb angle of this aircraft. So you got this baby flying again? Good for us.
On the coffee: don't you know we rather have tea? ;-) You would'n want me to get you coffee and neither would the captain...my hands are way to unstable to serve any liquid without spilling.

Greetings and keep 'm flying!
