Nice macro shot! Interesting how a small point-and-shoot can give interesting results like this!
Sharpness is very good. Recently, via my photo club, I had the opportunity to learn more about macro. The ground in this case is somewhat distracting... many garbage (leaves, rocks, branches, etc) next time try to isolate the snail somewhere else in order to have a smoother and more plain background.

Well captured Christan, they may look an easy subject but their flesh is not conducive to good focus. Natural colours, good light and the detail outstanding.

WOW.... Congratulation to your new camera.. :D sorry I haven't been too active in TL lately... just some family stuff to sort out... A snail shot eh... nice details, shapness and lighting... I've seen many of this kind of snails when I was back home...
