[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here is a view of the "Nymphaeum-Omega" Pumphouse in the garden of the Ernst Fuchs Villa. In the foreground is the "Moses Fountain" in the middle of a magnificient mosaic pool, shaded by large trees.

I posted a view of the entrance of the Villa and the grand staircase on Trek Earth.
For a interior view of the Villa, check my previous entry here. In the accompanying note, you will find a link to a virtual tour of the museum.

tech stuff: I had to painstakingly clone out a overhead wire cutting through the top portion of the pump house (there was no pov available to avoid the wire). Adjustments in levels, downsized.

I'm not sure this one works IMO Otto. I find it very busy - not just the highly detailed scene you've photographed, but the contrast of light and shadow makes it quite confusing to me, and hard for the eye to alight anywhere. Perhaps better if you'd singled out a detail to capture, rather than the whole?
Kudos to you though for the painstaking PP work, and beautiful sharpness and saturation throughout.

i rememeber so well this place, non really similar to now.. when i was in Vienna in 1992! a lot of time, isnt it?!?.. nice detail the pov is unusual with a tilt, but it's effective!! many thanks
ciao Marco

Hello Otto,

Some times I catch myself wondering "...what made them do this" and then I'm talking about the structure and not the photograph, hahaha!
Good details in the construction and the varied light adds life...

Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Otto
Not being the full fledge photographer or expert like so many are on Tk,my opinion may not mean much, but here goes.

There is so much stuff in this composition its hard to settle down on one item, and on top of that there is a reflection.
The shot is good, but the buject is really very distracting.

Hi Otto
Very nice composition wish beautiful reflections.

Tilt and shadows aside Otto it looks like something Dali would have created. Good strong colour and the light well handled, perhaps a crop to remove the checkered section on the left?

Is this where you can order a nymphomaniac? LOL!This is so pretty, the colors and all, but the shadows bug me, so I'm gonna try something in WS to see what I can do with it! Don't order too many nympho's...they are hard on the heart!

Beautiful fountain. Nice details in the water and that's a very nice fountain in the back.

well done! Yan :)
