[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A commemorative picture of my mother. I shot this the day after we arrived in Vienna for our holiday; it's been a while since our last visit, so everyone was very excited.
----------------
I cloned her portrait over a picture of a flower arrangement (overlaid with a gradient), then added the frame (using a macro of white flowers), increased saturation and slightly altered the hue, then restored her portrait with the history brush. Details of the hair around the edges, lost in the cloning of the bg were re-done by hand with the wacom pen set at 3 pixels width (that's working on the large file, 3060x3060 pixels - 4.82mb). Downsized to 800x800/149kb

Hi Otto,

Beautiful mother with lovely smile and eyes! I like the background of flowers showing the feminine side of mothers! Very impressive post processing. I think I would have toned down the lavender (purple) color a little so it would not be so bright. The workshop photo is beautiful. Looks like you have been interested in photography since then! Lisa

Hi Otto,

I did not realise you had family in Austria, that makes such a visit even more special.
This makes a lovely memorie of your 84 (?) year old mother - loved the old picture as well.
I am not quite sure about the gradient overlay with the purple hue in the portrait part of this picture (I think white would probably work better for me that is) -- in the frame the colour does work - but that is just a feeling I have.

Artistically framed Otto. A lovely portrait of your Mother, nice skin tones and well composed. The resemblance is quite remarkable,
David

You did a fantastic shot of your mom Otto!! Really nice colors, a natural smile! LOVE how you did this on top of flowers! She looks very "Mystical"... I wondered where you got that from!
B-)

Hi Otto
A touching presentation, my friend.
And the tender colors of your double frame suit well to a portrait of an experienced woman.
God bless her.
Thanks for your kind words.
Robert
