First experiment with lucent frame

These tulips I found in Vienna near the city centre. The full coloured version I use as a desktop wallpaper on my pc.
I thought about this image for a while. I wanted to post it but didn't know what to do with it.
Now I tried this.
I desaturated and darkened the image and then - working with layers - I brought back the tulip in the centre of the image. I selected the inner part of the image and copied it. Then I brightened the whole image and pasted in the copied centre to create the lucent frame. I then added borders by selecting colours of the picture.
I hope to get critiques on this one if it works out.

Alot of work but was it ever worth it. These are beautiful great pp work love the pov. Great framing. Vienna the place of beauty. TFS
