This is very interesting Liliana,
Personally I would have done a less central placement.. perhaps experimented with the POV a bit.

But the exposure looks very well handled :-)

I dont agree with eyesthetix. I think the central placement works great because the thing is symetric. out of central would look weird

Hi Lili! What a lovely shot with good POV and exposure. I planned on seeing this when I was in Brussels but it's a bit far and I only had one day to roam around Brussels. We spent more time in the clubs! I enjoyed my stay there. I was dipped and kissed in front of a police station while the officers look at us! Fun times but memorable :)

My Dad went to this world's fair in 1958. He was an American serviceman stationed in Germany back then. He has old black and white photos of this structure taken at this time. I now see your current photos in color. What a difference, especially at night. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Liliana,

Comparing the toning of the TrekEarth posting and this one I do have to say that I prefer the version on TrekEarth! The brown-ish tone just supports the night shot better and I do appreciate the point of view, which is a bit more further away, more.
But both fine postings though! :-)

Haa!? Some part are closed? I was sure they did a total revamp of it as they do the reopenning after major restauration! The mirror effect of the spere is great! The catch the car who even themself catch there light..

Hello lili

A beautiful capture of the Atomium.I hear they guard images of this landmark carefully.
I will never forget the wonderful meal I had in the restaurant at the top of the building.We could see a super view of the surroundings from there.
The lighting is well done,and the colours are superb.
A fantastic shot that brings back many memories of friends and good times for me.
