[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was taken recently in Brugge. A pedestrian almost got knocked over by the cart. Lots of action in the photo but I though the crop with the horse & driver reaction tells it all.
No pp except the crop and border.

Indeed the photo tells it all; powerful movement and panic mood.
Great crop.

Hi Andrei, great action shot ! People don't always realize the danger with these horse drawn carts. Every now and again there is an accident with them in Bruges, from people not watching or the horses freaking out.

Love the movement of the horse.

Marleen

Hello Dad ;)
Great timing here. You are right in that the people who were nearly run over are not needed in the shot. More emphasis is now placed on the expressions of the driver, passenger and the horse, which together tells the viewer exactly what is going on. The blurring of the horse conveys the sense of speed and movement well.
Great shot,
Jako

I like this a lot. I like the imagination that this allows without showing the pedestrian that you cropped.

The driver thinks, "AAARRRGGHHH! Not again... Yiiiiikkkess!"

The lady thinks, "I really like the band on his hat. I wonder if he'll swap with me."

All as the horse appears to be laughing, "Hahaha...almost got another one...I gotta have some fun sometimes..."

Thanks for your comments on my Kitty Camo photo. Cheers & TFS.

Hi Andrei

I love the way you managed to capture the facial expressions on all three characters. Very well done!

BTW yes the name is Afrikaans; I move to New Zealand in 1996.

Regards
Roelien

Priceless! (To capture this as a bystander and not one of the parties involved!) Great capture, great crop.

Very good expressions on the faces of the 2 people in the cart, and especially the horse! It does look like it was a dangerous time right then. Well captured thank you Andrei.

Great street capture. The tight crop brings out the drama of the scene. The fact that the horse is out of focus adds motion. Its almost laughing expression renders a sense of madness, as if fate is laughing at what just happened. Wow!

Hi Andrei...
Wonderful moment and shot... It's full of action... Wonderful point of view, colors and details... The rider's face is very interesting...
TFS...
Stay well..
Salim.

Very VERY good - the horse looks like he's bolting (perhaps laughing insanely!) and the driver seems to have no real control, just observing the carnage being caused in passing. I enjoyed this one and the crop is so right!

Ok, the face of the man is not that sharp... but sharp enough to capture his expression, which is priceless, Andrei. Compo works really well with the lady watching the driver (sort of, anyway), the driver being angry and looking at the bystander, of which we only see a tip of the umbrella, and, above all, the pose of the horse. I think this would have been a great shot for widening the frame, cropping closer but letting the horse's head slip outside of the picture, onto the frame.
Anyway, it may be a lucky capture but you managed it very well ! TFS.

Hi Andrei,
Although you cropped, there still is a lot going on in this picture.
For me the horse "having fun" is great to see.
Isn't Brugge beautiful?. We did live in Hulst, just across the border and when we had guests we always took them to Brugge.
Bye
Els

Hi Andrei! Good timing in capturing facial expressions, even the horse :)
TFS,
Freddie :)
