[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
An early walk through a "green zone" in between an suburban living-area and small industry. This part was planned (about 25 years or more ago) to have a major road running through it, but (fortunately) these plans never made it. Would it be a coincidence that several castle-like domains are situated on this route ?
this is the entrance to one of them "Te Ertbrugge".

It was a lovely and peaceful scene with a few ducks paddling slowly in the large ditch surrounding the estate, and the sun still low shining through the trees. (For those that visited my previous picture - which was taken in the same area but later in the day - the bank on the left is full of wood-anemones but they didn't open up to the sun yet)
The original picture was wider, I cropped it to a square format to get a better compo. Apart from that the contrast was slightly increased.

Dag buurman van de dag,

en toeval is ook dat onze titel beide met "early" begint...
Mooie, scherpe foto ! De stilte straalt er zo van af.

This is a delightful photograph. The trunks in the foreground frame the picture whilst the soft colours and the gentle reflections create a tranquil mood. This is a shot to return to as there are new things to notice on subsequent visits. Well done!

A peaceful backwater luckily preserved... Excellent shot capturing the reflections of light on the water, and nice composed with the bridge at the background and the tree covered in moss at the front... I see a fine piece of work here! Regards, Marta

Wat een vredig tafereeltje, Walter. Een van de mooiere plekjes van wat in Antwerpen soms wel eens "natuurgebied" heet. TFS
